Omar Sawaf created Direct From Developer LLC to bridge a gap in the international property market. More specifically, we seek to: (a) give international property consumers preliminary information on property in targeted international locations; and (b) introduce property opportunities in those locations.

Before starting Direct From Developer LLC, Omar Sawaf worked in Hong Kong with the international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills (then the largest practice in Asia), in Dubai with the international law firm Al Tamimi and Co. (the biggest independent law practice in the Middle East), in Abu Dhabi with the international law firm Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners (a major Continental European firm), and Washington, D.C. with the international law practice Howrey LLP (then a preeminent U.S. law firm). Omar primarily practiced international and real estate law.
Omar has negotiated property contracts with a total transactional value exceeding one billion dollars. He is also a member of the National Board of Realtors and has earned its Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation.
